@ConnollyJordan I am a self employed artist. Parents bought my first bike at age 13, I am 52 now. My first ride was a 1972 Suzuki TS50. Did the old school motocross thing until 1984. first Euro bikes like Maico, Husky and KTM then later Hondas and Yamahas. First streetbike was a 82 Suzuki GS1100E. The bike I loved the most and the bike I hated the most was the same bike, a 93 Ducati 888SP5. I had a gen1 98 R1. Lots of others but never more than 1 or 2 at a time.

@EmerysVids Im 5' 7" 130 lb, I own a 09 zx6r and also ride a 08' 1000rr. 600 is kinda gutless in the low rpm. liter bikes have plenty of power you just need to know how to use it.

I still own this ZX10 and have almost 30,000 miles on it and love it and see no need to replace it yet. Favorite AND least favorite was my 93 Ducati 888 SP5. I put over 40,000 miles on it before I sold it and have many great And horrible memories of it.

@throttledemon out of all bikes you had, which one was or is your favourite?

@leftwingnazi do it for a month then it never hurts anymore
I'm thinking of purchasing a 2012 ZX10R. It will be my first 1000cc bike. Do you think as a 6', 170lb, male that this bike will be hard to control? I've heard it's a bit top heavy.

@EmerysVids
At your size you should have no problem riding any 1000. for street use the differences between the Japanese liter bikes is minimal, pick the one you feel most comfortable on. probably the most flickable one is the Honda, but you can go plenty fast on and enjoy any Japanese liter bike. you cant go wrong.
