Audacity is free recording software that can be use to record multiple tracks and layer them together. Find out how to use Audacity as a multi-track recording program with helpful tips from a software developer in this free video on computers.
Can you hear the first recording while you record the second? I've been meaning to make a song but if I can't hear my first layer, it's quite difficult to record the second trying to sync them both. I'm not sure if this is how the program itself is, or just that it needs some tweaking of my part. I've tried with the latter, but haven't found anything that could solve my problem yet...Thanks!
Very nice! What we really need is a video on VOLUME CONTROL in 1.3 for Windows 7 for voice podcasting purposes. I get different volume each time I turn on Audacity and I am not making changes I know of. Mostly the problem is too LOW volume and no way I can find to increase recording volume in Aud or thru Cntl Panel. I've also had the opposite problem of too high volume creating distortion in playback. A mystery so far.
Thank you

@vapors420 I heard of something called VirtualDub that might help. My favorite youtuber uses it.
