John & Edward aka Jedward play at being like X Factor judges Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Danni Minogue when The Grimes Twins were judges at the Blastbeat Battle of the bands on May 9th 2009 at the Academy, Dublin.
John and Edward happened along to the Blastbeat finals last May in Dublin but had no money to get in so Robert Stephenson Blastbeat founder let them in for free if they would help out and act as impartial judges. They accepted the challenge to judge the 10 final bands competing. Robert needed to have some impartial teenage judges as well as some professionals.
They showed they had really good taste in music/ bands as they did help to choose the top two winning bands. After the judging they then spontaneously offered to sing to entertain the other judges, which they did, we all had a great BLAST night, a laugh.

Woah! The twins come across very well here and seem really intelligent. I think on X Factor they were portrayed as being really ditsy, immature and silly. Ppl shud get 2 see this side of them more. Did u hear Edward talkin bout a monotonous undercurrent! He is sooo cute. Luv u Jedward! <3
