@bigdenverguy Brody was God in Japan, and made a boat lode of money there.. He was very concerned about his image, because the Japanese press would actually report on his matches. Brody would do the job if it was good for business and wouldn't muck up his rep in Japan. He was also, one of the three biggest draws in the business and when you pull in that kind of cash you don't lose to someone like Blackwell

What an awesome match from two great wrestlers. They really knew how to work a match. I love the outside interference from Al-Kassie and how hometown favorite Greg G. comes in and saves the day.

JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!

Fantastic, classic match! Thanks so much for posting it.

RIP Both Bruiser and Crusher Blackwell

That dropkick Brody laid on Blackwell was amazing. Great athleticism. I remember Blackwell jobbing every week in the MidAtlantic area back in the 70s when he was working for Jim Crockett. I couldn't understand why JCP had a 420+ lbs guy who could dropkick and they put everyone over on him. Even midcarders like Tiger Conway Jr or Ted Oates went over clean on Blackwell. Go figure.

Say DotDotkins,do tou have the video of
VERNE helping GREG who helped out
JERRY BLACKWELL from BRODY and
Shiek Kacey? I viewed it on ESPN in '85.
VERNE kicked ass on that show.

Ha! You're right. Are you saying that Brody wasn't willing to take a pinfall loss here? An interesting proposition...
-
Wow, dream match. And they delivered.

Who needs the Hukster???
-
did blackwell ever have a 1 on 1 with abdulla...love to see that match
-
old awa love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ummm, did Blackwell pin the wrong person? That's a twist. If I were Marty Miller, I'd have allowed that, too!
On your other video, I posted about Brody not being a team player, not "selling" for his opponents, but he is a team player here. This is a great match. Thanks again!

But then again Brody was not the one who wound up getting pinned.
