I was playing around with an Overdrive effect / program on my Vox Tonelab, and I added a heavy delay to the setting.

Here's a riff I came up with.

The delay is set at 662ms, 100% Mix, and 2 on Feedback. The tuning is 'Dropped D' played on a Strat.

I haven't named the sound yet, any suggestions? :)

re: u2withorwithoutyou - Yeh it can easily handle U2 / Edge delays / up to 8 seconds delay available. I find its other programs good too. You do need to spend some time learning all its functions etc if u wanna get the most from it, but its worth it. The Tube overdrives/distortions are very good and a real breakthru tonewise (cont) ...
