Minecraft beta 1.8 leaked information 1

512 elevation
You can obviously tell that it's really freaking tall but also there are a few other new things
#1 on the bottom right there are a bunch of chicken legs which implies hunger where you will need food or else you will starve to death
#2 below that there is a bar which I am guessing is a new armor bar more accurately displaying how much protection a piece of armor gives off since the old one is taken up by the food bar
#3 "one of my short-term "just for fun" goals is to see if I can't get the Nether to populate from 0-127, the main world from 128-255, your Sky dimension from 256-383, and then that one group of modders' new dimension, the Aether, from 384-511. That would be epic" notch is wanting for all of the realms to be on one world and adding a new area called the Aether my guess is that is a polar opposite of the nether with clouds and water instead of lava and netherrack
New food
There will be a few new food items here is one
#1 it looks like a new food is added chicken or turkey if it's turkey then a new mob will be added :) but since it is the whole animal I am assuming that it will fill all or most of your life
#3 it has been confirmed as a chicken and can be stacked presumably in 4's
Glass window
Well it's not replacing the original glass block but I am guessing that if you put glass in a crafting box in a square shape that you will get 4-8 glass windows which will be quite nice for windows or making a counter top :)
Ruins / Ravine
It looks like it has new blocks and will presumably have new rewards or mobs inside
#1 bricks there appears to be cobblestone, mossy, and stone bricks and sandstone versions
#2 iron bars they look like a new kind of fence that is for holding mobs inside ( water may be able to pass through)
#3 vines that are most likely going to be climbable
#4 next to the zombie in the ravine there is a maroon fish or rodent shaped thing if it is a fish then it will presumable be the silver fish which has been rumored to be being added in 1.8
#5 it is rumored to be spike blocks but I have no proof
Shroom land
This picture shows off a new biome
#1 the new biome is a mushroom area what they do is currently unknown
#2 the houses show off a addition which is going to be the npc villages no information other that the fact that it is a npc village is known at the moment
