@GodlessMartyr666 And why not? The Soviet Union backed the North Vietnamese? As long as the Soviet Union had control over its people and internal dessent, they could do whatever pleased them. Happiness depends often on who you were before the revolution. The serf may have felt he gained something.
@GodlessMartyr666 I think Ho was communist from his early years, but may have been open to other ideas as well. He took his country down the road to communism, much as Mao did. Outside influences took place only within the realm of their personal conflicts. The support and aid that came was only a result of their success in persueding other countries to support their cause. Not outside countries instigating war so they could sell arms.
@GodlessMartyr666 You are driving the arms production to survive as the reason for the wars. It just was not the case. Once people understood that communist 'equality' meant every one was equaly poor except those who were more equal, it collapsed. It had no future, and the people were little better off than before. After years of watching the west get rich and richer, and the advent of the internet, cell phones etc. Communism is falling apart.
@GodlessMartyr666 I understand the term proxy war. And it could be used in Korea and Vietnam as well as Afganistan under the Ruskies. But that was not the reason for the wars.
@GodlessMartyr666 It was idiology that drove the clash. If I was a serf in Russia, Korea, or Vietnam who was oppressed and living in poverty I probobly would have joined the communists. Capitalism and democracy would not have made sense to me being uneducated and poor. So yes, I suppose the Ruskies determined where their system would be most popular and tried to impliment it. The west at the same time was very fearful of the communist revolution.
@GodlessMartyr666 Osama and his band of merry goat fornacators were only one group of mujahadeen of many in Afganistan. The CIA supplied many groups, tribes, during that time but only Afgan nationals, so Osama never got aid from the CIA and had to finance his own. Osama was a leader only within his own group.
thank you for sharing this video!!
