rumour has it INXS have officially sacked JD for second time, but thankfully they are about to go back to their original name The Farris Brothers, which i think is what they should have done yeara ago. new singer unveiled this week.

@timbit4inxs That's true... but I've heard it from reliable sources that CM Murphy doesn't like JD... and it's clear from all the interview footage I've seen and read with Murphy he thought Original Sin was going to be bigger than KICK... the guy is poisoning INXS... he may be a great number cruncher but he's past his use by date for what INXS need today. They're on a self-destruct path now and I doubt they'll ever get back in the game the way most fans would like. Their life.

The thing that gets me is that I initially groaned when the Rockstar thing started.

I asked myself "Who can replace Hutch?"

But as the show progressed I felt that JD was the only guy who I could hear singing the INXS back catalog. Even Dave Navarro said this about JD.

Then Pretty Vegas came out and I was hooked. So was the band.

I then saw INXS on the Canadian tour in 2006 in an arena not a stadium.

After seeing the band live with JD it reignited my interest in INXS

Solo fui al recital para ver al resto, a los 5 integrantes originales.

Not sure what to say. I like the fact that you center on the major problem, which is, the lack of new music. There are a lot of angry confused fans at the moment. Someone actually said in a comment that INXS knew this new direction would mean that they would lose the JD Fortune Fans. I hope this isnt't the case because it means you let us waste the last 6 years following the last new direction . Are you trying to say Pretty Vegas, Afterglow, Devils Party and Gods Top Ten ment Nothing?

Queen faced a similar issue I guess, after Freddie Mercury passed away - Queen have toured with heaps of different artists and a few of the original Queen band members have come out from behind their instruments to sing lead in concert. I've seen a clip of Andrew Farriss sing and perform "By Your Side" and he was pretty good.

@UKINXSFAN...it helps to have the facts straight before commenting. JD cowrote THREE songs with the band. He would've have written more for an upcoming album, HAD THEY LET HIM. Perhaps JD intimidates Andrew, because if you could hear what I have heard in the last 2.5 years, you'd be blown away by how prolific and versatile this guy is. This is INXS's mess now. "True Fans"....you can have what's left of this once great band.

AURICFIELD... too late I am afraid. I just heard a video clip of a new singer that INXS hired -actually they were singing a new INXS song. The song did not sound anything like INXS music and the vocal... well I will be kind, the vocal was worse than JD (I did not think it would be possible but it is). It is crazy that they now have a singer with a worse vocal singing a song that doesn't reflect the INXS sound (nor does it seem like a sound from this decade). Sad Michael was and is INXS!

INXS... you need to find a GREAT singer. You guys should know that a good vocal makes a good singer -but a great singer has a good vocal and sings from their heart to tug at you soul. Michael was a Great singer because he had developed a good vocal ability combined with that soulful singing you believed what he was singing so he touched your soul with the great songs you guys wrote. And you were all a team and paid your dues together. Take some time & find a Great singer & write Great songs=INXS

As for 'Tiny Summer' - this is so far removed from INXS it isn't funny. It sounds like the bastard child of Coldplay and U2. To go from seeing the BEST concert EVER at A Day On The Green earlier this year to hearing this is just so deflating :(. JD all the way!!!

Seriously, guys,with this approach you'll be up shit creek without a paddle in no time. JD was bloody awesome & he's the reason we come to your shows & follow your music. No one's interested in INXS with a bunch of random guest singers and especially not INXS with Ciaran Gribbin. Can you imagine this guy rocking out on Devil Inside or pulling off songs like Need You Tonight and Taste It?! Those are some seriously sexy songs & he has neither the voice nor the sex appeal required to succeed.
