With the Steve Miller Band for their first two albums, Boz Scaggs carved out an inimitable niche for himself and soared on his own with many hits starting in the 70's. This is one of his biggest and best known. A great concert from 2004.
This was a good version of Lido Shuffle. After hearing the old version nine million times on the radio, it is a fresh, cool version. I have this concert on dvd. Great concert, great backup band. All top knotch players with a great sound. The female vocalists are two of the best I have ever heard. Great voices, never go out of tune. Matt Bissonette is one of the best bass players out there today. Great playing on this concert. He used to play with Maynard Ferguson. Boz is still the man. M.G. R.I.
I disagree. I like the album cut better and the lo-fi video version from the late 70s on Youtube. The old version swings. This just sounds like a so-so blues band only half interested in it. And they keyboard solo doesn't put it over the top like the cheesy synth version from back in the day.
