i went ahead and looked it up, because derrick was not in rkl for a few years before he died. the last big rkl tour with derrick was 2002. Rkl had a different drummer in their last shows in 04. The last music thing he was involved in was something called JAWS and I dont believe they played live in belgium Im not sure they did play live.

if you saw derrick in 2005, i believe he killed himself in feb. He had a broken hip and was using a wheel chair. So thats not the year.... I think in 2004 he did shows with rkl. That would be the band.

someone asked how tall he was. He was shorter than average. About 5 6 I would say. Joey cape is about 5 6 too chris flippins i think is 6 7 shawn dewey is like 6 4

punk rock beats tend to be repetitive and one dimentional, but derrick crushed everything I thought I kew about punk rock drumming.

The drums in "Beer Goggles" and "Bad Moon Rising" are just ridiculously bad ass.
Super innovative for punk at the time.
