0002 Yoga Vasistha Intro Part 2 of 2

The essence of the teaching of the Yoga Vasistha. Do not dwell on the confusion of the world-appearance. The blueness of the sky as an optical illusion. Do rainbows exist? They depend on the angle of perception. Is the reality of the world not a matter of perception?

Do not be taken in by the world-appearance.

This teaching is revolutionary.

Kakataliya The crow alighting on the palm branch as a coconut falls. Causation is inferred even though there is no causal relationship. Such is creation.

Direct observation of the mind. Observe what is observing.

Magic Eye stereograms are a good illustration of how the mind creates depth. Is the stereogram a two-dimensional or a three-dimensional image?

Reality is not something fixed. It is an interpretation that is going on within us from moment to moment.
