@Ziggoi This scene is not actually fake, the boom mic is used because they are "supposedly" filming a documentary to be shown on Belarus Television. I will agree that some of the scenes from the Borat film and some of the sketches that were shown on TV were 'set up' in some way however this one was not.

@Ziggoi Bro. It's not fake. He tells people he's a reporter. In this case learning how to dine :) He always has a cameraman with him. They stil think he's an actual person. Although in the movie a few scenes were directed.
