@estw It was real Christians who were mostly burned alive at the stake by catholic priests. Jesus warned that the true and the false will be recognised by what they do. Evil people commit evil acts. Real Christians do not murder others in holy wars.

@RWSB1793 If you look at other rulers in those times you'd see that public execution was something "modern" . Ivan the terrible , King Henry of Britannia who beheaded 10.000 french prisoners in 1 day etc .

Yes Vlad was very brutal, but he fought valiantly to keep the infidel Muslim Turks out of his country. He even essentially beat the Turks at their own game.
