Community Based Care (CBC) has been in existence for over seven years in Seminole County, FL and earned a government contract to oversee child welfare programs in both Orange and Osceola counties. CBC's adoption, foster parenting and independent living programs were new to these communities, so a campaign was created to introduce CBC of Central Florida and raise awareness of their many services and offerings in Orange and Osceola counties.
Evok advertising created materials for the Open Campaign that encouraged the target audience to "Open your Heart, Open your Mind, Open your Door, to the possibility of helping children in need."
The Open Campaign, scheduled to run for nine months, was announced at three sold out breakfasts attended by community leaders and local businesses. A two-minute video was produced to grab the audiences' attention with statistics of children who are victims of or at risk of abuse, neglect and abandonment. The video helped set the stage of the campaign and the important work CBC does in Central Florida. An Open Campaign kit also was created for the local businesses with items like door hangers, tent cards and 4' tall displays to help raise awareness.
With the help of print ads, radio spots, social media, banner ads and TV coverage, the campaign is expected to raise over $500,000, garner over 4 million impressions and find forever families to help care for Central Florida children in need.
