I saw the April 23 concert. This video is from the 2nd concert .

WOW. mesmerising. I had no idea any footage existed. So jealous of anyone who saw her live.

People are amazed, but she was a pro. No neurotic back-up dancers wiggling to deflect from the lack of talent, no vocal "processing" whatsoever -- just a drop-dead voice.
One of the great women and great talents when "America" actually meant half a damn.

Gosh I'm so happy i love listening to that album over an over again... I'm so happy to see actual video footage of that night I wish there has been more of that they should've recorded that concert in tape not only audio. If there is something or someone that I'm jealous of is of that people that had the chance to see her live. I wish I had been there that night but I was born on 1985.. Too late for me =(

Mega cool, Steve. Fine reporting ... that was a major album & major cultural moment.

More! Steve has the makings of a great documentary! Excellent. Thank you.
THe song she is singing at 1:40 is When you are smiling--by Louis Armstrong, then it goes into It is Almost Like being in Love
