I used to watch this all the time with my dad and i would make him play it over and over and he would sit through it with me this brought tears to my eyes -3

I was watching the Nostalgia Critic's Christmas List Top 11 and this came up as number 2
I forgot it had existed until I saw the first clip from it and heard the music. Memories of watching this many times as a small child rushed by into my head as tears suddenly filled my eyes as the scenes danced back into memory.

Reminds me of how magical Christmas was as a kid, used to love watching this along with Raymond Briggs Father Christmas. .... 29 yrs old now!! :)

PLEASE HELP. On a recorded VHS i had of this in the 80's my dad recorded an animation after which involved a pirate ship picture which came to life and a soldier and a ballerina I think? Pirates stole a coin from the moneybox??? I am desperate to find it so any help? Dont think it was 'brave tin soldier' or 'nutcracker' as had been suggested??

I'm not sure the bit about a pirate ship picture coming to life rings any bells, but I'll have a look around for you. Only other thing that's coming to mind at the moment with a barely similar plot is 'The Tinderbox'. If I find anything out, I'll let you know :-)
