The US already has some socialist policies that work. Don't be completely against ALL socialist policies.

vdub350: those policies are destroying this country. No single governmental system is perfect or without its flaws. That's why the United States was conceived and born as a blend of governmental systems. We basically cut and paste a governmental system. We tried to cut out the bad from other governments but we tried to adopt the parts of other governments that seemed to be good.

vdub350: A little bit as socialism in the right proportion in the right areas can be very good. A safety net is a good thing. However becoming too dependent on a safety net is dangerous and can be addicting and in the long term can be detrimental to your health. The problem is we have too much socialism and it is in too many places so it is bankrupting our country and destroying it.

vdub350: Regrettably many people think if a little bit is good; then alot more would be much better. The facts show that usually is not true. Regrettably many people are too shallow minded to see the facts and comprehend the whole truth. We need to get back closer to the values that this country was founded on or we will probably fail.

Ok, with that I 100% agree. I believe that welfare is important for the people that actually need help, but the US has too many fuckups that take advantage of the system and then don't understand why the system is damaged and complain.

public services are not real socialism. It is government assistance in a capitalist society. And most policies DO NOT work. If you live in poverty (which I do), the government can make you feel comfortable to live there with their programs. This is bad because it takes our incentives away to better ourselves to become rich (which I am doing). Im from a chicago ghetto and have a broken background but I dont bitch at conservatives because i know THEY are the ones on my team, NOT liberals

Schemefighter, you're my hero dude. Wow finally someone on youtube that isn't a liberal and understands how money truly works.

It's funny really how a socialist with no understanding of economics thinks government debt can fix problems. When really every cause (such as wellfare), has the effects that are actually worse then it's intentions.

I've yet to see someone on welfare striding to better them self career wise since it enables them to work for the minimum. Thus enabling poverty.
