Here's a review and demonstration of a 5 gallon solar camp shower bag. Fill it wh water, let it warm in the sun, then take a shower. I used rainwater from my rainbarrel for this demonstration, but any water source could be used.

It worked excellently, though it did make the water smell like PVC and it was heavy when full, so finding a suitable place to hang it could be a challenge. I like this system and recommend it highly.

  • @matzecc are we talking about the guy making the video...?

  • Your supposed to use it outside duh

  • 5G should weigh around 40 lb. I guess one should install a high sturdy hook in their shower area before a need. A nice fat hook, skinny one will tear the hanging eye faster. In my mind the water valve should be at the shower head end of the hose, a 1 handed push button valve.

  • i owned one it does work good if you can hang it high enough i suggest the hose should be 3-4 inches to allow it to work comfortable. otherwise it moves everywhere and you have to crouch below the nozzel in order for it to work. i perfer the pump containers way better they spray above or below there water height.

  • @SurvivalWithBushcraf yep the clear side is supposed to be up.

  • @billometer gotcha, excuse me dumbass comment then! i was a festival noob and my boyfriend bought this. i didnt even know solar showers were a reality, ha.

  • can you use it more than once???

  • Well may I say...In Northern Alberta in Canada, in the summer this is a choice item. It takes it's time and it's best to shower near night when the water is warm and the air is cool. But Coghlan brand is better because it is basically a black water bag. it warms much faster but is less expensive than most brands. Cheers for your info though. Happy viewing

  • In the summer we put it on a granite rock and within an hour we have shower water ready to go. Sometimes it's been so hot, we've actually had to ADD hot water to it. Seattle sports has a better model as it has a larger shower head for more coverage. But any of the five gallon models work very well except you do want to buy the ones that are a little on the pricey side as they are better made. Does two adults, or one adult and 2 kids. Or just me and my very long hair. :D

  • @xGleek89x Ever heard of a camping stove by brunton or msr? Backpacking stoves, not your conventional oven.
