Actually if you don't dock the tails, it can cause infections in the animals anus due to feces and urine build up and different bacterias that go along with them.
@pinkxpig176 Yes, he just put them to show for the video. In shows, a person handles them. they only go on thoes racks for sheering, shots, drying, and hoove clipping.
@louisehorsemad - even touched on tail docking. it was poorly put together and did not test genetics as a possibility. It can be selected away from. Do I believe that tail docking can result in it...yes. But first comes genetics. Then environment, then feeding, and then tail docking.
@louisehorsemad - Explain why docking the tails that short is animal cruelty. If its because you think its going to result in prolaps you are wrong. If that was the number one reason then the majority of showlambs would be prolapsing. Our family raises and shows market lambs and have have specific ewe lines we know will prolaps - even leaving the tails long does not prevent it. Prolaps in sheep has little to do with tail docking and majority to do with gentics. I have found 1 study that

in the uk, you need to keep enought tail to cover and shake. its to do with fly strke and protecting the sensitive skin from infection etc
