Poor car had been sitting for quite a while. Drained out the old gas, put in some fresh high octane. Did an oil and filter change. Cranked it for a while with plugs out until oil pressure registered. After that it started right away and I got to take it for a run around the (startled) neighbourhood. Still needs a tuneup and maybe fiddling with jets or timing/advance curve. Engine is 1700 Ford crossflow in "Super Sprint" tune. You can really hear the straight cut gears! Camera is latest Go Pro HD mounted on roll bar. I will try it again with the open case so we can hear more engine noise.

  • @snupers Thats pretty much how all formula cars are and the super 7 is about as close to a formula car on the road as a normal person can get. (other than the ariel atom)

  • @GunFreak271 go on caterhams website these cars can be bought as a kit or made up

  • Where would you buy a car like that?

  • @snupers Bigger isnt better ;)

  • Smallest steering wheel ive ever seen!

  • Well, good to know that there is at least one Caterham in Québec! Didn't know they could be bought with a 1.7 and straight-cut gears !

  • didnt know you got the caterham in canada. didnt know you would get the 1700cc engine either. Must be rare piece of kit over that bit of the world no? although i did notice the steering wheel and pedals need moved about 2.5 feet to the right
