Luke and Noah 77B 6-16-08 part 2

After all the griping I've done about changes in the writing team needed for the show comes word from Nelson Branco at TV Guide Canada that in fact is about to happen. The full story will be in his column later this week. More info as it comes.....

So, How great were the scenes between Luke and Noah today! I think they answered a lot of questions, and made things going on with Noah much clearer. Noah and Lucinda together ...I loved that! And that final shot of Lucinda's empty cottage with Noah's wedding ring on the table was perfect. All of this from the same people who brought you "Cleo", "Cowboy Jack", and "Ameera"! Maybe there is still hope for these writers.

Next Luke and Noah is Wednesday 18th (Tala Ashe's last day)
Ameera tells the boys that she's leaving town and having the marriage annulled and urges them to get back together. (Remember, as previously reported in another thread, Ameera is getting deported, or something, in a manner that is not pleasant for Noah and it looks like Luke may have had something to do with it? I don't know how valid that spoiler is.)

NOAH GETS THE WRONG IDEA ABOUT LUKE

Noah sees Reg and Luke talking and gets the wrong idea, because Luke and Noah are still very much together in both their minds," says Silbermann. "Noah is hurt by it, but at the same time, he doesn't know what to do about it because he still needs that respite."
So, what will Noah do now, especially with Ameera leaving town? "He's going to do what he can to try and heal. But Luke will be in his thoughts."
We learn that Noah is pretty broken up over his split with Luke (and yet, he's getting exactly what he wanted....).

On Wednesday, June 18, Luke is caught off-guard by harsh words from Noah....
In the wake of the Col. Mayer drama, Luke asks Noah just how much of a break he wants and Noah replies that he wants to end things. "He needs time," explains Jake Silbermann (Noah). "In his heart, he knows Luke was coming from the right place, but it was such a painful course of events that it's difficult to look at that person and not feel anger about the situation and not be reminded constantly about the things that have happened."

The good news is....
Cyndi Lauper invites AS THE WORLD TURNS viewers to come "Into the Nightlife," as she performs the first single from her new album Bring You To The Brink and a stirring rendition of her signature song, "True Colors," on the July 3 episode. "She's doing a benefit in between her shows in New York and Chicago, so she made a little pit stop in Oakdale," teases Jake Silbermann (Noah).

In her Oakdale cameo, Lauper won't just be singing. She will also share scenes with Jake Silbermann (Noah Mayer) and Van Hansis (Luke Snyder). Lauper muses that she will do whatever it takes to make sure that "Nuke" is reunited.

Van really is an amazing actor, he can do so many emotions so well, especially hurt. emotionally overwraught scenes between the boys are done so well, not over the top at all.
