[Amstrad Cpc] Xyphoes Fantasy longplay part 1/4

(Silmarils, 1991)
In the land of Norem, an army of warriors called the Skulls have caused a magician to lose all of his powers. He has chosen you to trek across Norem and clear it of the Skulls and their evil leader, Kan. There are four levels - a mixture of shoot-'em-up action, and one-on-one sword fighting against two of Kan's finest warriors. This game is an absolute masterpiece; some of the programmers were involved in the French demo scene, and this influence is obvious throughout the game. The graphics and music are out of this world, something that British CPC users could only dream of. Beautiful sprites and backgrounds; overscan screens; a digitised tune on the title screen it's all there. The game itself is brilliant as well.
This is the french version, it's the only one that works on Winape.

I was just reading an interview of Odiesoft in NoRecess site with funny story about how they mocked up the funny walking of the hero and then came here to actually witness it. LOL! The walking/jumping is preety funny indeed, but an impressive game anyways.

Probably not the best graphics if you include Plus games. Although the amount of large moving sprites is damn impressive. I love the level one music on this game.

The graphics are replicated from "Shadow Of The Beast" Amiga game! Excellent tribute to a legend of Amiga games and an astonishing game for the trusty old CPC!!!

does xyphoes fantasy have the best GFX and tunes uve ever seen on a cpc ??? truely stunning..... what a cpc masterpiece and it has speed god i love this game :0)
