Groovy 60s song from american pop rock band Lovin Spoonful.
It's really true how nothin matters.
No mad, mad world and no mad hatters.
No one's pitchin cause their ain't no batters
in coconut grove.
Don't bother door.
Theirs no one comin.
The oceans roar, were double drummin.
of many silly thoughts and silly ways
the ocean breeze has cooled my mind.
the salty days are her's and mine
just to do what we wanna
Lyrics correction: Don't bar the door,
The ocean's roar will dull the drummin

One of my favorites from an album of great songs. Saw JS when he came to see the band America at The Bitter End. The hair, the glasses, the sheepskin jacket, he was/is a looker. But never saw L.S live.

@mesabow : 1973 Fiat 124 Spyder. White with red interior. Beautiful car, but it began to self-destruct after 2 years.

The correct lyric is "Don't bar the door" - not "Don't bother door" (which makes no sense).

I used to listen to this on my 8-track while driving around in my Fiat convertable in college. Ah, memories.

A tasty slice from the Lp Hums of the lovin spoonful.I played the heck out of this when it first came out.i still think this song, and She,s still,a mystery too me as well as Nashville Cats all deserved a much better airplat than they actually recieved.murray the K at the old Underground before Drake Chenault played this regulary at OR-Fm in New York In late 1966 early 1967,
