(Daily News on http://www.parsnewz.com/blog )
A huge fire breaks out in a 12-storey building in China's northwestern city of Urumqi.

The heat from the blaze was so intense it held back firefighters who were trying to contain it. Around 2000 market vendors work in the building, Dehui International Plaza, selling clothes, cosmetics and toys.

Michelle Carlile-Alkhouri reports.

  • Peculiar? Um, did this building have a jet full of fuel slam into it at a high speed? Was the floor plan wide open like the WTC? The answer is no. Apples and oranges.

  • It burned 14 hours and yet despite fear of colapse, never colapsed. Apparently buildings in NY city collapse much easier from fire like WTC 7 than Chinese made buildings. Peculiar !?

  • I'll hope it will end soon!
