RAW STREET DOWN
PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
Where are we going?
RAW STREET DOWN is a collaboration of Yoshitaka Kono's analogue street photography with the sound track of "street-sounds" designed by HKB FiNN.
Yoshitaka Kono is an Osaka born London resident who's work explores the extremes of dark and light. In this new collection, his pictures of everyday street scenes from London & Osaka catches the vibrancy of two cities separated by space and culture, yet, become one when seen through a unique perspective which distills everyday life into utopian moments of sublime abstraction of light and dark.
Immerse yourself in the energy of his vision where he captures the essence of two cities that share an adherence to their rich history and enjoy the total obliviousness of their denizens when held in his unique gaze.
Yoshi embraces minimalism in a way to avoid what he describes as "mid-tone saturation", his work has a vibrancy which is highly evocative and subtle.
Printed on 12x16in Fiber-based paper, the raw edge displayed Silver Gelatine Photographes.
