  • so: is that video response of Florez supposed to be "one-upping" this clip of Pavarotti? Or was it posted here just to make Florez look bad? I love Florez's in his own right, but you do him a disservice by comparing him, literally side-by-side with Pavarotti.

  • Wow, this was made the year I was born.

Grande Luciano! Che riposi in pace, maestro

  • @B337h0v3n

Me too. I had a chance, but missed it.. I will always be sad about missing that performance. What a great Tenor.. R.I.P. from me too..

He will always be in my CD Player !!

  • @Marinausbcn el mejor artista que ha dado la humanidad!

  • vielen dank fürs hochladen :)

  • I had the privlege of seeing Pavarotti in recital on several occasions with John Wustman. These recitals were phenominal. Pavarotti"s rendition of Ideale is the finest I have heard. He is sorely missed. I also had the good fortune to meet him in person on two occasions. He was very gracious and kind to me and my then 8-year-old daughter. I treasure those memories.

  • fantastic!

this beautiful interpretation bring tears to my eyes, one of his best performences! A great inspiration for the next, (unfortunately small) generation of bel canto singers. May his recordings live forever.

  • so, when he was alive, pav was the best singer in the world???, no one above him?
