CFCF-12 Season's Greetings - "Entre Le Boeuf Et L'Ane Gris"

Long lost "Season's Greetings" bumper which used to air between shows during the Christmas season on Montreal's English TV station CFCF-12 (CTV). This was one of 3 or 4 pretty winter vignettes which ran throughout my childhood in the 70's and 80's. It hasn't aired in years, and I get nostalgia goosebumps every time I watch it.




I've recieved numerous requests for this. Sorry for the lousy quality -- it's from a tape that's 20+ years old and has survived a flood and many moves. I hope you enjoy it regardless -- Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

Thank you for posting this!! Do you remember what year CFCF 12 started showing this? I was a teenager in 1980 i think it goes back to there. Stunningly depressing and beautiful at the same time. Brings back childhood memories driving to grandparents for Christmas. It really seems from another world ago.

@ycanada My sentiments exactly. I don't remember what year it started, but I was born in 73 and it was airing for as long as I can remember.

This is VERY nostalgic to me as well. I grew up in Montreal during this time and I used to watch these vignettes all the way through all the time. I believe those were Montreal's golden years!

@imajeepster I remember very well these musical interludes during the Holiday Season while back on CFCF 12. I'm 42 now. The one with the horses running had this Henry Mancini track on called "Carol for another Christmas". Check out the song here on YouTube.. Hope it brings back memories. Happy Holidays! :)
