"Blood of my Blood" is the most perfect peridd soap opera clothier's ever made. The action takes place in Brazil of the secónd Empire in two phases: the first in 1872 and the second 10 years later, continuing up to 1888, when the Abolition of Slavery was decreed. With a detailed reconstitution of the period, with relevant histórica! facts superbly mixed with fiction - "Blood of my Blood" - tells the story of Lúcia (Lucélia Santos), a solitary warrior obliged to face up in silence to her husband Clovis (Osmar Prado), who keeps her suffering an oppressive nightmare. The reason for Lúcia surviving this marriage is her secret support for the abolitionist movement.

Clovis is the manager of the Banco Intercontinental, of which the president is his father-in-law, a charming man, pessessor of a rare magnetism, which he uses to manipulate people in his own interest. An act of embezzlement by Clovis, só as to pay his gambling debts, sets the plot. As from then, Clovis sinks deeper and deeper into the morass of his crimes.

With various leading characters and supporting players, "Blood of my Blood" is undoubtedly a landmark in International television drama.

Volto a dizer... essa novela foi EXCELENTE! SBT peca e nunca tê-la reprisado... junto com Éramos Seis, foi a melhor produção deles. Apesar de toda a alteração q a trama sofreu no começo, ela seguiu brilhantemente com as atuações e os personagens bem construídos como a Julia (Lucélia Santos), Clóvis (Osmar Prado), Pola Renont (Bia Siedl)... dentre vários, vários, vaiors outros. Foi uma das poucas até hoje q acompanhei do começo ao fim e até hoje espero reprise.
