Philip Johnson designed his painting gallery as a series of three connected cylinders, each of which had seven radially-mounted panels that could be moved to change the pieces on display. Our tour guide was kind enough to demonstrate the operation. That's a Cindy Sherman photograph in the background and I believe the two paintings in the foreground are Frank Stella.
