The door lock actuators on many G35's are garbage. The dealer charges $150 for the oem actuator, plus $120/hr to install which can take 90 minutes!
I sell these kits here: http://g35driver.com/forums/marketplace/340761-door-lock-actuator-kits-g35-co...
There are absolutely no cons in installing this kit. You get a reliable bypass to the stock actuator, for a fraction of the price.
This is a 3 part video, showing without editing, that the install can be done in 30 minutes.
With my kit, you get an aftermarket actuator, 4 actuator mounting screws, 3 actuator rod bracket mounting screws, actuator rod bracket, my hand made actuator mounting bracket, actuator rod that is cut to length to fit the G35, and pre cut wires with butt connectors and bullet connectors on them.
Only tools needed are a large and regular phillips head screwdriver, wire cutters and crimpers, a drill with 4mm drill bit, and I find a pocket knife to be helpful as you will see in the video.
Hey PythonJosh.. thanks for this post. I ordered some aftermarket actuators for my G35, however the linkage clamp that it came with is too big. I notice the one in your video is much smaller. Can I order a pair of those clamps from you? I cannot seem to find them locally anywhere.
