  • everytime i see a tribute to the troops it makes me see how much my tour in afghanistan ment to the country of canada and shows that i am a national hero

  • @mrcanadiansoldier I'm so glad that this tribute is still being viewed, and especially by a member of our Military. Thank you, not only for your comment, but for doing what you do. Our Canadian soldiers have a wonderful reputation as peacekeepers and although the general public would rather see them in that role again, they have and continue to prove themselves in the theatre of war, just as our ancestors did. Our thanks is never enough. ~~ Lynn

  • Lynn you have made a very moving video

to the people whom we can never thank enough for our way of life Today. Stay Safe

    ~ Keep the ROCK faith----------Mike.

  • Thank you Mike. And thank you for the friend request. I'm slowly regaining my online time now that travel is over for a while. xoxoxo

  • Lynn... Fantastic video!!! My grdad WW1 and dad WW11 both. I have pics of them in uniform. My dad had wartime souvenirs and sadly gave them all away to a boy I no longer am in touch with. Breaks my heart... Dad is still alive & well at 87 and his war stories have been a big part of growing up in our house. He is a grump now (maybe always was) and war left him scarred both emotionally as well a physically. I hate war!!!

    The soldiers are heroes!!!

  • Thanks Bonnie. This one is very special to me. You are very fortunate that your Dad shared his war stories with you. I hope someone has written some of them down to share with future generations. I know very little of either Grandfathers' military lives, so I'm envious. I hate war too, but so admire the dedication of those who fought before and are fighting now.
