In this presentation, critic Armond White dedicated an entire evening to the work of Michael Jackson in the music video genre. Armond White takes an in-depth look at some of Michael Jackson's early music videos and examined the influence of Hollywood Choreographers and Hollywood Dance Icons. Many classic scenes from Hollywood musicals were shown.

After introductory remarks by Dance on Camera Program at Lincoln Center president, Joanna Ney, Armond White explains what he hopes to accomplish with this program/presentation. After his opening remarks, a popular Michael Jackson music video is played.

Seems to be a cool guy, not exactly the villain the internet makes him out to be. He is contrarian and might have bad taste w.r.t. mainstream films though.

He's got lots of respect for pre-90s/00s Scorsese, including the 'Bad' music video.

Hi WOWZA! I just purchased Armon White's book & I'm from the Philippines, I haven't gotten it yet but I appreciate all the vids you have on White & MJ! But the 2nd part of this vid is banned in my country by Sony, is there a way for me to view this somewhere else?

Wow, why is Part 2 not available .. it says Sony owns it ! So why did Sony allow Part 1?? Makes no sense. Why does Sony keep removing all the MJ videos? They are not good at sharing with friends.

Knowing Armond White's neoconservative politics I had no idea he was a Jackson fan.
Since he doesn't appreciate Scorsese too much I wonder what he thought of the "Bad" music video?
