A tutorial file of the guitar for Barenaked Ladies' "The Old Apartment". Suppliment to http://www.rockitoldschool.com

Not that much to this song. Full tab (not quite up to recent, but still sufficient) at RIOS.

  • im not getting anything out of here. you should try to explain where to put your fingers instaed of just playing. cuz im getting nothing from this. but thats just me though.

  • @123legodude Then you should learn to read the tab file as noted in the decription. 98% of this song is just chord fingerings. With respect, I didn't make these videos for beginner guitarists who don't know the finger positions for open chords, and I'm not going to go over the finger positoins for a G chord every time there's a song with one in it. There are plenty of beginner youtube videos that will teach you basic open chords before you get to my videos.

  • There's no such thing as wrong. Whatever works for you is "right".

  • @TheHYPO i was being a dumbass and i just couldnt see how your fingers were placed on the fret board cuz my computer is laging

  • I got the official sheet music for Born on a Pirate Ship. The pages are falling out though.

  • well done.

  • any idea what kind of distortion... trying to emulate through a zoom g1 and not finding anything close.

  • ok, so how do you play it?

  • You certainly know your stuff and obviously enjoy what you do. I've been a musician for 30 years now and still can't get over guys like you who are drawn to this craft. Great work, rock on.
