  • I just had to guess that the bolt was under the rubber grommet, and pry the thing up... The bolt was shiny and new-looking because it was inside and protected by the rubber grommet. It's interesting that you mention rust connected with spare tires on minivans...

My mother heard a dropping sound when she pulled out of her driveway one day... When she got back home there was a wheel lying there. The cable attaching the spare tire to that bolt had rusted through with all the salt that they use...

  • certainly one shitty period... are car is a bit like that and I don't know if I could change it easily... wasn't the bolt rusted, between the flat and the puker... no fun...

  • God bless your heart.

  • @frozencanuckreviews ..the taxie is cheaper than the ambulance

  • I spray it with so much disinfectant cleaner that all I smell is the cleaner. It's easier in winter because the cold makes the smell less penetrating. Then I wipe and scrub with plenty of paper towels so I don't have to touch it. Back in the days when we drove ex-police cars with rubber and vinyl interiors I used to go to the car wash where they have the high-pressure wand, and blast the interior with soap and water. To dry it out I'd crank the heater and it would be dry in only a few minutes!

  • @fehquig Flippin bolts, the Caravan wasnt bad for an old lady car;-)

  • Goodness... cleaning up someone vomit makes me want to vomit! Andy I don't know how you do it. Hugs!

  • Better yet, get all your puking done and be dry heaving before you get in any moving vehicle! The motion will make you sick...

  • We probably won't see an uncommon era in our lifetime...

Is it the bolts or the Caravans that are flipping? After driving the Caravan almost daily for two and a half years I wouldn't buy one as a private vehicle...

I wish everyone had nice and legible numbers that are easy to find. I usually look towards the front door because we don't have mailboxes at the street...

  • People should only travel when they feel well in my opinion...
