@polymath7 Projection. Conservatives are clearly smarter than lefto-faggots. Both sides know it.
You are mad the Friedman agrees with Bush, even though he is a Democrat. Get over it.

@vivairaqi democratizing the middle east is very important for the US in the sense that a democrtic nation can be controlled and managed much easier than totalitarian despots. the politician that you wnat in, can be propped up and the ones you don't want can be sabotagged, you can force the hand of a government by imposing tough economic policy, you can manipulate their currency, you can demand deregulation and insist on a free market. in other words you can move in but not pay any rent. why OIL

At least Friedman is honest, rather then the other leftists who lie continuously.

What a big fat lie.. If America is really interested in 'democratization' of the middle-east, they should have begun with Saudi Arabia and Egypt, two of their allies in the region and not Iraq, their worst enemy.
Tom Friedman has made a shameless U-turn on the Iraq war. First, he was all for it, but later, when the Iraq war began to bleed the Americans, he has begun to campaign for a pull-out.

Yes that's true Friedman. But, we can't deny the linkages Bush and Cheney have with the oil companies and petro-dollar owners.

@kmg4 Friedman is honest? And a leftist? The one thing in this world you conservatives are right about is how you are looked down upon and sneered at from the left.
You are uniformly stupid people.
