@deabcd I want to commit adultery with you. lmao
Just kidding Darlene. I think marriage is a precious thing and now that I am married I don't masturbate and think of others. I'm glad I have my wife. Jesus said if you commit adultery in your heart it's the same as doing it. To me, if I masturbate and think of another (even porn) or if I even entertain a thought I am setting myself up, maybe not with that person but it's like I'm breaking down a wall
a hunger that goes beyond my marriage.

It's not the physical feeling. (wow, this is not appropriate) It's what comes with it. You don't get it. It's so much more than the surface of what u are looking at. Like adultery, if u commit adultery in your mind, u are involving yourself, if u bring someone into that, u are involving not only your mind, but someone else physically and mentally. You are involving their very soul in an act of sin and they are choosing to be a part of that if they go along with it. It's so much more.
Well, it's obvious that the answer is yes...but why should I change my life to conform to some crusty old book? The bible is the word of man. Not some God.
So it would be like taking some asshole as an authority figure and then doing as he tells me. Nah...prefer to think for myself.

But that's just it. You aren't thinking for yourself. Do u know the feeling that you get (that you won't admit to) when u do something wrong? Even when u knew it was wrong but yet u did it anyway? If logic was your key to the truth, then why didn't u listen to even the logic that was presented to u at that time if it's only about logic and not something more?

Depends what you mean by done wrong. I mean some Catholics feel guilty about missing mass or wanking or using a condom but I know that this is all a matter of religious programing. The root of sin is ignorance. Not just ignorance of superficial facts but a deep seated ignorance. Most people have something of a conscience. Good and evil are relative and ethics are situational. There are no moral absolutes.

No, ya see, that is an issue of the flesh. Being human and being a Born Again Christian doesn't mean you don't have a battle against the flesh. It's always a battle as long as you live in the flesh. Life is a gift but also a test for us to see what we will do with every situation. The flesh is always present of course, so that is always going to be a battle. Be vigilant and aware of what you are up against and don't shrug it off to 'human nature' when we do have a choice in what we do.
