Is that still Jim Clancy directing? My dad was in the VM in the mid 80s and I've always loved that barbershop sound! Great video, wish there were more!

Not quite true. They came in second this past year (mere hours after beating their own 11-year-old all-time high-scoring record!), and also came in second their very first try over 33 years ago, and again on their third International appearance. But every other time, they won.
The International-winning chorus is not permitted to compete for the following two years.
The VM is competing this year, since they came in second in 2009. The Ambassadors of Harmony sit out for the next two years.
