F blues - Don Latarski

Here's a short jazz style 12 bar blues in F I improvised. The guitar is a Goodall Aloha, but I had a custom neck made for it which allows me to play in tune with heavy strings and detuned a minor 3rd. The normal baritone guitar is actually down to B, but sound doesn't work well for me when I'm playing fingerstyle melody. This is also the guitar I used to record Fab 4 on 6 vol. 1 and 2, although at the time of those recordings, I was using the standard neck. The sound is only coming from the Seymour Duncan mag-mic pickup recorded to Logic.

This guitar is somewhat unusual in that I've had a custom neck made for it by Saul Koll in Portland, OR. The body is a Goodall, but the longer neck allows me to detune it down a minor 3rd. The low string rings out at C#. The neck isn't quite full baritone in length. I found that with the original scale length the guitar wouldn't play in tune well with this low tuning and heavy strings. I'm using a standard D'Addario set (EJ18 .014 - .059).
