The pandering shown on this video is nauseating. One part that made me laugh is when he says "latino home ownership is at all time high" -- what a difference a few years make! Now it's "latino foreclosures and an all time high." Good riddance Bush, too bad we have another illegal alien lover replacing your sorry ass.
what the hell?, where the hell is all these great latinos at??, i live in NEWYORK, and all i see is a majotity of HISPANICS on WELFARE, HIGHSHOOL DROP OUTS, LIVIN IN THE GHETTO, TEEN AGE PARENTS, CRIMINALS, & DRUG ADDICTS. that goes for BROOKLYN, QUEENS, MANHATTAN & BRONX, the majority of LATINOS i see are low lives, so this video is very confusing to me.
First off "these people" were in this country before it ever was this country. The ones who just walked in and had everything handed to them were the European ethnic immigrants (Irish, Italian, Greek, etc) years ago when America needed industrial workers, leaving out colored people from getting a piece of the proverbial American pie. These migrant people who are just trying to survive aren't looking for handouts, they come to work. And finally, NOTHING was given to Mexicans. Land was stolen at the barrel of a gun and private property was appropriated under kangaroo courts. Treaties were also broken (Guadalupe Hidalgo), and there was no compensation. cont.
And Mexicans fought hard for human and civil rights, some of the litigation victories even benefited and inspired the black civil rights movement, namely, Brown vs The Board of Education (look up the Lemon Grove Case).
