The director starting over: 99.9% of the time, never happens. Issues: 1. This was the first time the choir had performed together. 2. Once a choir speeds up, there is no slowing them down, unless there is a rest or pause. There is downtime in this piece. 3. The concert atmosphere is relaxed. 4. It was early enough to fix it. Neither here nor there, opinions are just that.

There is no need to argue. Agreeably, the tenors are not as strong as the other sections for a couple reasons. 1. It is a balance issue that cannot be helped, due to this being a mass HS number that includes 3 choirs (one SSAA, and two SATB...sometimes one of the SATB is SAB). 2. The arrangement is extremely high in the tenor range, especially for young voices still changing. 3. No belting is allowed.

"You could just shut your mouth" ... is this the education you get from your choir teacher? :/ sounds like someone may have intonation problems. I gave honest criticism you tried to double dutch into my criticism, and therefore you made your comments pertinent to the conversation. If you don't want me to critique your flawed logic then don't try to flame me for something you are 'obviously oblivious' about. AKA understanding that their tenor section is week and that the Choral Director was wrong

I agree, I thought it was a great performance, I do not know her but i believe they did a tremendous job. I am overly critical of tenors because I am a great tenor and I know how hard it is to find them in a high school atmosphere but I really enjoyed 3 of the 4 parts :)

Or you could just type without thinking, restarting is necessary, commenting to try to compensate for the fact that everyone knows there was a mistake wasn't necessary, but since you seem to like people commenting on mistakes thanks for posting the same comment twice. I am glad you decided to restart it and get it right the second time, I guess you just like to take off and go sometimes.
