Part II of the remastering of the Heavy Metal 101 Classic "Pitch Harmonics and Pitch Harmonic bends".

The technique is still the same...grip the pick properly (as shown in the video), turn up the gain and just practice over and over...and over. It will take a while but soon you'll be squealing away!

Be sure to watch in glorious HD!

  • you made me look like a retard. I used your video as an example of pinches and someone was like.. you go out of your way to sound really bad? Your pinches are as terrible as the band shirt you are wearing.

  • hahahaha thats awesome. Nice shot at metallica. Did you know that shirt glows in the dark?

  • do you think you could do a dive bomb lesson? i dont get them at all.

  • @marshallstacksrule Sure! Next lesson I'll do a dive bomb lesson!

  • dude your pinches are a little off

  • i use treble pick up its better for fast leads and when going on heavy jugs with pinches

  • you bought a glow in the dark metallica shirt? so you could enjoy the shirt in the dark? thats awesome. you are a true fan. and a amazing guitar player.

  • i get better harmonic response from my Fender SSS strat than my Ibanez Rg :o

  • god i love your burst of colour on your guitar! i am using a jackson kelly will it work just as well? thanks a lot great video!

  • @AntonimonsMusicPage yeah i think you're right. it does change, JUST a little bit, but enough to notice if you have good ears.

it's all about intonation. you'll notice, if you tune down to D standard in a guitar that was intoned for E standard, the fretted notes won't be quite tuned correctly. the actual spot where the fret hits the exact note, has changed a bit. the way to adjust this is to adjust the intonation on the bridge. likewise with the pinch harmonic hot spots.

  • @AirgunAddict256

Ah, true that be. But I can sorta pinch on the B. More than I can on the High E.

So let's say I drop tune to D Standard, the "hot spot" for the PH will change, right?

Cuz I think I've noticed this. But I'll just hit it anyway.
