@BfeoAdmin Actually, with the way the buzz bridge works, the strings are pretty tempermental to how hard you pluck them. Too soft, and you won't get the buzz. Too hard, and you lose sustain.
-
@TheNirvanaChair he gives it enough respect a $350 guitar should get
-
What the fuck are you talking about? He's not whacking them hard at all. Besides, that's absolutely irrelevant. He can play it however he wants. Respect has nothing to do with how you use it to perform. The fact that he has it and plays it is all the respect it needs.
-
fuck dude, do you have any respect for instruments? You whack the strings way too hard...
-
See if you can adjust the bridge for proper intonation. . .as well as proper buzzing. LOL.
Hours of fun!
. . . .and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours. . .

Helpful tip:
If you want the 'sympathetic strings' to do anything at all, turn the Sitar pickups Waaaayyy down in volume, with the sympathetic pickup full up. Then crank the amp up 'til the Sitar pickups can be heard well. The sympathetic pickups will then pick up plenty of vibration. . .and feed back like crazy!!!
Fun!

If it is an electric sitar... why not plugging it in ?

Probably in order to cover up the poor electric sound.
