Go Fourth's John Prescott responding to Dan Hannan MEP's claims on Fox News that the NHS is a 60 year mistake.
Hannan said:"Weve lived through this mistake; weve lived through this mistake for 60 years now... the reality is it hasnt worked. Its made people iller. We spend a lot of money and we get very bad results, you look at survival rates for cancer or for heart disease we are well down on all the leagues. We have very few Doctors. We disincentivise people from practising medicine in this country. A lot of our best and brightest Doctors emigrate. A lot of them go to North America because theres no market."
John Prescott is now calling on David Cameron - who praised Hannan's YouTube attack on Gordon Brown - to denonce the MEP and throw him out of the Tory Euro Group.
The health care system looks like it has failed you, Johnny. A bit worse for wear?

There are a lot of advantages and disadvantage to the NHS. It's great to be able to walk into any hospital without ID and receive treatment. But it's very expensive and costs the taxpayer a fortune. It's very badly managed and the country ends up further in debt to pay for people to have sex-changes and gastric bands.

"A health service for everyone" - What are the odds that John Prescott has private heath care? Anyone want to take a guess?

"probably best to research actual costs" - eat your own words chump!

@mty1 The NHS budget is not 100 billion as you said, it's only 100 million. That's the error of 1000 that I told you about.

@mandolinic
1000 x? how is that possible? there is no way the nhs budget is 100 billion x 1000, the country would go bankrupt you complete and utter idiot!!!

@mty1 " we pay about 100 billion a year for it or something"
It's probably best to research actual costs rather than grab some extravagant figures out of thin air. As it is, you're out by about a factor of 1000!
