  • @sergiolad ... you are welcome- Thanks for watchin!

  • Hi wanted to ask somethings if we can cut anywhere on the rose bush or by force where there is a bud eye is? When is the time to really prune roses? Where i live it never snows so my roses are always green. Do i prune them in fall , winter or before spring? Thanks so much :)

  • @n1les ...Great question! If your roses are always green, you can 'pocket prune' anytime , Meaning, take the 3 tallest stalks that have bloomed out, and prune them back-about a third down. Make the cut right above a bud eye.,,, Here in Georgia, we prune hard in late January or early Feb, right before leaf break... then we fertilize.

  • Thanks for your videos! I was afraid to prune my knockouts the first time, but after I watched your video on it, it gave me confidence and now they look a lot better and I think they're going to do well this year.

  • Today I will be uploading another video on pruning a Knock Out Rose that is HUGE... and I prune them wayyy down... Look for it! and Thanks so much for watching!

  • @dodgerbuddy7 Are your rose trees in pots?

  • dodgerbuddy7 ,

In my opinion tree roses should NOT be grown in colder climates such as yours... Sorry...

I would plant hardy bush roses for your area of Illinois....

  • WOW, Melissa, great informative video. Big thanks! I am new to working with Roses. I have 3 Rose Trees and have no clue how to do maintenance. And I lost 2 of them after the winter. What can I do to protect my Rose Trees during the winter living in Illinois? I appreciate your video clip and cannot wait to get outside and do some trimming.

  • you changed your hair... looks really pretty
