This is NOT Napalm Death...
This recording is part of a myth spread by the internet. Some tape trader took the Napalm Death recording from the 'Bullshit Detector Volume 3' LP and added 3 songs by another band...
Napalm Death never made a demo called 'Punk is a Rotting Corpse' (in 1982 or any other year)...And the pre-Napalm Death band Civil Defence never made any recordings at all...
I am one of the 2 founder members of Napalm Death: I hope this helps to clear up any confusion.

Okay, this has been bothering me for awhile... This is NOT a Napalm Death song. Punk Is A Rotting Corpse was a SONG from their first demo, not their first demo. The 4-track demo circulating under that name is the version of Crucifixion from taken from Bullshit Detector Vol. 3 (currently the only heard pre Hatred Surge song), while the other 3 are by some unknown hardcore band.
SO...does ANYONE know who the fuck this band is??? I fucking love this song, and have been pining over it for years...

This isn't Napalm Death. This is Civil Defense which is a band that is in no way related to Napalm Death. Someone made a bootleg of four songs, one of which was "Crucifixion of Possessions", a song Napalm Death contributed to a compilation and the other three songs are by Civil Defense. No one knows who made the bootleg, or why.

Nah, it isn't. This is much too clear to be early Napalm Death. The Hatred Surge demo was supposedly after this one and it had a MUCH, MUCH shittier sound. Get your facts straight dude.
