Annoying European Country??? Ok, so u r saying basically that you would prefer your country to exist as a tribal and undeveloped land with no TV, Computers, international sports, economic competition... etc...
Kinda like Papua New Guinea... Don't get me wrong... I have nothing against the Tribal way of life, but it just isn't as appealing as the modern lifestyle... Far more full of choices, pleasures, luxuries yet hardships all at the same time... Tribal life is TOO Simple...

@SamuelJoaodaSuica no probably another annoying european country like france or portugal or spain (think mexico, our next door neighbors) would have jumped at the US
-
Your culture is derived from us... If it weren't for us, your country would be filled with tribes of cultures native to the Americas... You would probably be as developed as Paupua New Guinea... Maybe just a little bit more...

@jazzyjezz19 YOUR SO FUCKING STUPID, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOT..
The word was derived from Association Football, which was the original term given to the game in the 1860s at the elite schools that spawned the sport in England. The abbreviation “Assoccer”, which became “soccer,” was used by the British upper classes of that period. When the sport was embraced by the less fortunate, the name of “soccer” was passed down. But most commoners used the word “football” to describe their new game.

@jazzyjezz19 Firstly, cool down bro, it's a joke. Secondly, in that spirit, that explains the FOOT bit, you still have to explain the BALL bit. If it isn't round it isn't a ball, and you can quote me on that one.

You are all ignorant idiots. American football is called football in the US because IT IS PLAYED ON FOOT, just as football/soccer is. The US, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa all frequently use the term "soccer" when describing football, yet the US is the only one that gets any shit for it. The name soccer was actually created during the 1880's in England as a slang abbreviation for association football by Charles Wreford-Brown
