  • It is amazing that there are not more postings for Al "Fuzzy" St. John. Back in the 50's he was ahead of his time. It was obvious he carried the top actors in his day. I know I enjoyed "Fuzzy" much more. It was good clean fun. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to send your kids to the show knowing they would not be exposed to the trash you see in movies now.

  • from which film is based?

  • I think that the house is Ray "Crash" Corrigan's which was located (it burned down) at Corriganville Movie Ranch in Simi Valley, CA.

  • Let me tell you something ... It takes real skill and talent to dismount a horse the way Fuzzy did! If you pause this video at 20 seconds, you'll see the planning for this stunt. - look at his horse in relation to his shoulders. The horses withers are a little lower, and look at the horse next to his horse. That horse is about 15 hands high and Fuzzy'sn is about 13.5 hands. It took great planning and practice. God bless him!

  • Fuzzy also ujsed to do a routine on riding a bicycle on two wheels. His screen saddle buddy Lash LaRue said that he could stumble over a match and then spend fifteen minutes looking for the match. He was still doing personal appearances in the South with his wife when he died in 1963.

  • ....I wish someone would post him getting ON his horse, ending up facing backward somehow, or struggling for 5 minutes with a match on the ground that tripped him up, he was really entertaining.

  • Fuzzy St John was also the most entertaining fighter of all the B-Western fighters. You always had to pay attention when Fuzzy was on the screen.

  • Ein Wunder, daß man den alten Fuzzy noch sieht. HE
