To find out the frontal plane QRS axis with ease I have come out with this axis finder. This is made up of two pieces of paper, the bigger one has a diagram of various limb leads showing the direction of their vector. The second piece is a semi-circle, with a black arrow drawn in the middle. The semi circle is fitted on to the bigger piece in a way that allows it to rotate freely. To determine the frontal plane QRS axis all you have to do is just cover all the leads showing positive deflection with the semi-circle. Then the arrow gives you the direction of the frontal plane QRS axis.
