Defense chief assures Enzi on military base and missile cut process

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta told U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., that the President's budget proposal would not unilaterally eliminate a single military base from every state and confirmed the Defense Department would use the Base Relocation and Closure (BRAC) process, if authorized by Congress, to evaluate where base closures should be made.
