When I was a kid, and until recently, I always thought the last shot at the end showed a gigantic inukshuk. I didn't realize it was just forced perspective.

Yeah, me too. I loved these bits when I was a kid! Y'know those sayings about being a late 80's/early 90's kid with respect to Saturday morning cartoons (eg Pinky and the Brain)? I guess they could reference this one for the Canadian ones lol. Like someone could come up to me and say, 'now the people will know we were here," and I would have instantly gotten it; same with all my friends.

There is something really amazing about these spots. The interesting bits of random history, mentioning little things at the same time as talking about major historical events everyone knows like WWII, the pride shown in many of them, or maybe just the fact that they have become such a huge part of Canadian culture.
